Position - Landscape Construction Laborer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Landscape Construction Laborer to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in the construction and installation of landscape projects, ensuring high-quality work and client satisfaction. This position involves physical labor and requires working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the installation of landscape projects, including but not limited to planting, mulching, sod laying, hardscaping, and irrigation systems.
Operate and maintain landscape equipment and tools such as shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, power tools, and small machinery.
Prepare and grade terrain for planting and other landscape elements.
Follow detailed plans and instructions from the Foreman/Supervisor to ensure project specifications are met.
Transport materials and equipment to and from job sites.
Assist in the installation of landscape lighting and water features.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
Communicate any issues or delays to the Foreman/Supervisor promptly.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Basic understanding of landscape design and construction principles.
Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
Safety-conscious with knowledge of workplace safety practices.

Work Environment:
Outdoor work environment with exposure to various weather conditions.
Physical demands include lifting, bending, digging, and standing for long periods.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, **preferred but not required**

  • Previous experience in landscape construction or a related field is preferred but not required.

  • Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), bending, and standing for extended periods.

  • Basic knowledge of landscape tools and equipment.

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
